Welcome to game night at Emerald Tavern Games & Cafe here in Austin! The event will take place on Saturday, 12/13/2025, from 6pm to 12am. The idea is simple. A relaxed evening with good games, good vibes, and good people. Emerald Tavern already has an amazing atmosphere for board games, plus food, and drinks. Whether you’re a seasoned board gamer or you are someone who wants to learn, you’re welcome to pull up a chair.

Emerald Tavern Games & Cafe offers a unique blend of board games, hobby games, play space, gourmet coffee, craft tea, wine, beer, and elevated pub fare. It’s a warm, welcoming place where guests can relax, explore new titles, and enjoy the latest in tabletop and hobby gaming. With its cozy atmosphere, the café creates the perfect setting to gather with friends, share good food and drinks, and dive into your favorite games.

Games at Emerald Tavern typically have a rental fee of $5 each, or you can grab a day pass for $10. If enough people are interested in this event, I’ll reach out to Emerald Tavern to see whether they can waive the rental fees for our group.

This is meant to be relaxed and easygoing, just a chance to gauge interest and see who’s excited about game nights at Emerald Tavern. If the turnout is solid, we can turn this into a weekly or bi-weekly tradition. It’s the perfect way to unwind at the end of the week — good food, great drinks, plenty of board games, and an easy opportunity to meet new people.
