Join the AWS Utah User Group for a lunch-and-learn focused on practical migration guidance for Amazon Aurora DSQL—covering architecture decisions, compatibility considerations, and operational tradeoffs for production systems. This session features a guided demo (not a hands-on workshop) and extended Q&A.
Details:
Arnab Chowdhury, Scott Peterson, Tim Collinson, and Jake Astle will share field-tested approaches for moving from existing relational databases to Aurora DSQL’s distributed, serverless environment, with emphasis on minimizing downtime and simplifying operations. Topics include PostgreSQL compatibility, connection and concurrency behavior, multi-Region design options, and patterns teams use to achieve elastic scale and high availability.
Expect a structured talk with a live demo illustrating migration flow and operational posture, followed by audience Q&A tailored to real-world scenarios.
