Balboa Park Dancers February Dance Party

Our April party will be hosted by Naomi Welsh.

With over 15 years of experience both teaching and performing, Naomi Welsh brings a dynamic and heartfelt approach to the world of dance. Certified at the Gold level by Arthur Murray Dance Studios, Naomi has competed in a wide array of dance genres, showcasing her versatility and passion for movement. Her training spans across premier dance hubs, including Connecticut, New York, Los Angeles, and San Diego, enriching her style with diverse influences.

Holding a degree in Kinesiology and a background in performance and theater, Naomi enjoys blending art, expression, and science into her training. She views dance as the perfect fusion of creativity, physicality, enjoyment, and community. Her mission as an instructor is to inspire and guide her students to discover their own inner dancer, empowering them to express themselves freely and authentically through movement while deepening their technical understanding. Naomi believes dance is more than just steps—it's a journey of self-discovery and connection.

There is open dancing to a wide variety of ballroom music and a number of mixers. Naomi will teach a short lesson to get everyone dancing.

We are resuming the potluck tradition. We ask attendees to bring finger foods - sweet and savory. While we prefer disposable containers you can bring an appropriate serving dish if you wish, remember to retrieve it before the party is over. Too many people bring sweet items such as cookies and cakes, unless you have an overwhelming sweet tooth, think about bringing chips, pretzels, crackers, or vegetables instead.
