Work sucks, it’s freezing. What’s the best way to spend after-work hours? Upon popular request for evening activity to wind down at, early birds meet at Lyon Street Steps for a photo walk down Presidio Ave, then close the night at Family Billiards for craft beer, pool playing, and spectating SF’s longest-running 9-ball tournament.

You know the drill: Bring a camera if you have one, dress warm (it's cold as hell), come loose.

The Route:

  1. Lyon Street Steps (meet at ~6:00 PM)
  2. Walk and shoot Presidio Ave on the way down
  3. End at Family Billiards for their Tuesday 9-ball tournament (~6:30 PM)

About Family Billiards: SF’s oldest pool hall, maintained like new. 17 high-quality Brunswick and Diamond tables. Made for genuine billiard lovers and casuals alike.

What’s 9-Ball? You must hit the lowest-numbered ball first on every shot, but you win by legally pocketing the 9-ball anytime - even early via combination. Watch and learn.

All ages, all photography levels, all pool skill levels, all curiosity levels welcome. Plan subject to change if we feel like it.

See you all after work.
