Tuggerah to Wyong via The Entrance and Budgewoi

Tuggerah & Budgewoi Lakes loop in reverse. Starting at Tuggerah station & finishing at Wyong station going via The Entrance and Budgewoi.
Drive to Tuggerah stn or catch the 7.20am train from Central (or Stathfield at 7.35am) Scheduled to arrive at Tuggerah at 9.03am.
For approx 9.10 am start.

Ride is over 60 klms. Flat with some short hills, and gentle undulations, lake views and winding bush paths. About 30% on-road riding (mostly suburban sts) 70% on shared paths. Start from eastern side of Tuggerah station, go in an anti-clockwise direction around Tuggerah Lake to The Entrance (where we'll have a cuppa) then head north past Toukley to Bulgewoi, then west and south along good paths to Charmhaven, Gorokan and Wyong.
An unhurried ride to enjoy the day. Coffee at The Entrance and lunch at Budgewoi.
We will aim for a mid-afternoon train back from Wyong. FYI Tuggerah station is a 15 min flat ride from Wyong station if you left your car parked there.
All the usual stuff - wear a helmet, bring water. Need a bike in good order with spare tube, a pump, etc. Definitely need sun-block & suggest a hat for rest stops. Bring your Opal card.
In general
Ring your bell or call when passing pedestrians. Please give plenty of room and slow down when passing the many walkers and other bike riders we will most probably encounter.
Pull off the path when we stop for a chat, photo op., rests, etc. so others can get by easily.
There is no trackwork indicated on that rail line but I will monitor conditions as the event approaches. Should train services be disrupted an alternative ride in Sydney will be offered.
