Start and Finish place: Stanmore Reserve, to the east of Stanmore Library
Start Time: 8.15am for an 8.30am departure
Finish Time: around 12.30pm.
Cycling fitness level: Very Easy/Easy/MEDIUM/Hard/Very Hard
Distance [Elevation]/ Speed: about 28km[+300m]; with moving speed averaging 12-15kph
What You Need: Bicycle in good working order, helmet & bike lock, water, sunscreen, spare tube, Opal Card for early bail out.

We will take a circuitous route into town, (with a momentary stop at a place of historical significance), before crossing the Harbour Bridge. Once across the bridge you will have the chance to choose between walking your bike down 55 steps or gently descending with ease down the brand new cycle ramp (!)

On the other side we will take a turn through Kirribilli for the most spectacular views, under the bridge and back up for a coffee and an opportunity to explore Wendy Whiteley's Secret Garden at Lavender Bay.
We will take a different route back via Rozelle Parklands and Whites Creek.

The ride will be gently paced and will suit less experienced riders although a moderate level of bike fitness is required. There is one difficult climb hence the "medium" rating (refer to comments below). The ride aims to showcase our rapidly improving bike infra, particularly (but not only) the new harbour bridge off ramp, and to encourage riders of all abilities to enjoy our city with every sense, in a welcoming and friendly social environment.

The ride will be predominantly on cycleways, shared paths, and car lite streets. We will need to dismount at some places and walk the bike a short distance (20m-30m).

Check Meet-up for late changes [inclement weather, etc]
