About us
The Business Intelligence User Group of South Africa (BIUG-SA) is a group for anyone working in the Business Intelligence (BI) domain. It exists to provide a platform for BI users and developers to discuss their experiences, share strategies and best practice, and gain support.
Although the events are primarily hosted in Johannesburg, all events are now fully hybrid, which means you can attend from anywhere in the world. More than that, we encourage anyone to contribute to our events, regardless of your level of experience and physical location.

BI Flashes: Source Control, Slow Reports, Themes and Security
·OnlineOnlineThis month we're running a set of BI Flashes: four short talks, each one on a thing you've probably run into and worked around rather than solved.
Ashraf opens with source control in Fabric using Azure DevOps, for anyone whose version history is currently a folder of files ending in _v3_final. Thato follows with the question that shows up right before a demo: your Power BI report is slow, now what?
Sven will take us through the new Theme pane, and what it means for anyone who has ever changed the same formatting setting on every visual in a report.
