Steamy July and August are upon us. Hiking can be difficult in such conditions. This hike offers both a short and a long version. The short route is simply three miles in and doubling back to the trailhead. The longer version is as posted. Additionally, the hike crosses the Thornton/Hughes River several times. Typically, these are "skip across" events. However, packing water shoes is suggested.

Jim Necci will lead this hike as I continue my sciatic recovery. Thanks Jim.

Moderately strenuous. 8 miles. 1200' elevation.
