Location: Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA), South Brisbane

Come along and enjoy a relaxed Sunday morning photo walk with Brissie Photographers at the Gallery of Modern Art. This meetup is all about getting out, taking photos, sharing ideas and enjoying good company — no pressure and no experience required.

Whether you shoot with a DSLR, mirrorless camera or your phone, you are very welcome to join us.

What’s the Plan?

9:00 am – Meet & Say Hello
We’ll meet near the GOMA riverfront / Stanley Place entrance for a quick hello, introductions and a rundown of the morning.

9:15 am – 10:00 am | Outdoor Photography
We’ll start outside while the light is soft, photographing:
• GOMA’s striking architecture
• River reflections and walkways
• Kurilpa Bridge views
• Candid street moments

Feel free to wander, ask questions and shoot at your own pace.

10:00 am – 11:30 am | Inside GOMA (Free Areas)
Once GOMA opens, we’ll head inside to explore free-access spaces, including:
• Permanent Collection galleries
• Children’s Art Centre
• Open interior areas with great light, lines and textures

Photography is welcome in most areas — just remember no flash and please follow any signage.

11:30 am | Optional Lunch & Catch-Up

We’ll wrap up with an optional lunch at GOMA Bistro or nearby cafés at South Bank. A nice chance to relax, chat photography and share a few favourite shots.

• The meetup is free (food and any ticketed exhibitions are optional and at your own cost)
• Wear comfortable shoes and bring water
• All skill levels are welcome — beginners especially
