Kicking us off with a dev-meta talk this year, Sean has undergone a bunch of self health analysis that affects us as traditionally sedentary office workers - and would love to debunk some myths for us, the unhealthyness of workplaces, and how to change your life, work and nutrition to make you a potentially healthier developer and human.

🔬 The AA Bill - Kartik Gupta (@kartikgupta) - 20min
The government has introduced a bill into law at the end of last year which it claims is help mitigate the impact of encrypted communications services on police investigations. Telcos and communications providers can be forced to modify the services they provide to customers to create a weakness that agencies can ­exploit. Kartik can tell you all the ins-and-outs of what it is and how it affects us in an ongoing way.

Alexandre has been developing a project using full potential of the service worker API. Tough challenge tho, the target was to create an offline map using the Esri API.

💫 Short talk: Deploying Node.js microservices to Kubernetes using Terraform - Ashley Davis (@ashleydavis75) - 10-15min
Need to deploy your Node.js app to Kubernetes but having trouble getting your head around it? In this talk we'll look at using Terraform to create infrastructure as code and simplify the job of creating a Kubernetes cluster and deploying a Node.js application. This will be a whirlwind tour of Terraform and demonstration of how to bring online a simple Node.js microsevices application.

The upper and lower car parks in Toowong Village are open until 10:30 at night, leaving plenty of time for you to leave after the event. BrisJS is wheelchair accessible from the taxi rank, car parks and train station, but please note the train station is only wheelchair accessible via the street after the centre closes at 9pm.
