- Session 2 - Animals in Brussels Talk: Human-Animal Urban Coexistence in BrusselsCommons Hub, Brussels
🐾 🎤Join us for session 2 of the series 'Animals in Brussels' Talks, organised by the organisation Vegan Brussels 🌱
🐶🐦🌆 This session is dedicated to the topic of Urban Coexistence, which includes discussion on strategies for living alongside both wild and domestic animals, covering responsible pet ownership and practical solutions for common urban animal challenges.
🧠🗣️The speaker will be Jonathan de Patoul, veterinarian, DéFI party politician in Brussels, and strong advocate for animal welfare. Jonathan co-authored the Brussels Animal Welfare Code and has pushed for measures like mandatory pre-adoption veterinary consultations and a ban on unstunned slaughter. Beyond legislation, he co-founded La Ferme d’Anjou, an educational farm promoting sustainable living and animal awareness.
