Saturday Curtin walk - autumn version of our fave off leash walk
Details
Join us for some great off-leash walking in Curtin featuring lovely autumn colour. This is a variation of one of our favourite walks for providing our dogs with extensive off-leash opportunities.
Instead of walking around the high side of Curtin, we'll venture to the low side ... We'll follow a circular route of around 5 km through a series of interconnected parks and playing fields.
While not providing the views of our Curtin ridge walk, it's a very pleasant stroll with lots of fun for our dogs. There will even be some paddling opportunities in Yarralumla Creek.
The walk is likely to take around 90 minutes at a relaxed pace, including a few stops along the way to offer our dogs water, let them have a play on the ovals, and to let me take some group photos!
This is an easy walk, with only one, not very long, uphill section. We'll be walking on paved footpaths, dirt tracks and across irrigated ovals.
There's plenty of free parking at the Curtin shops, a great dog friendly café, and a good Coles if you want to catch up on your grocery shopping while you're there.
Important info:
- You walk entirely at your own risk and you are wholly responsible for your own, and your dog's, behaviour; by rsvping 'yes' to this walk you understand and agree to this condition.
- All off-leash activities are at the discretion of the walk guide. If for any reason they feel any dog should be back on lead, please respect their decision, as they are trying to ensure everyone has a pleasant experience.
- We ask $7.50 per adult to be paid by card to the guide at the beginning of the walk - children (under 18) walk free of charge. The charge helps cover our meetup subscription, insurance, internet, petrol, and other costs. We will gladly refund this if you are not happy for any reason.
