We will walk to the top of Mount Painter from Cook shops and return to the shops for pizza.
Park at Cook shops and we will meet under the trees between the car park and bus stop at 5:30pm.
Our walk will take us along walkways to the vertical sundial where we enter Mount Painter Nature Reserve. From here we walk behind the houses until we reach the start of the new track which winds around Mount Painter until we reach the trig point at the top. On our way back to Cook shops we will walk via Rosebud Cottage which was built in 1866 by Mark Southwell. From here we return to the shops. The walk should take about an hour.
I have booked for 10 people outside in the courtyard. We can squeeze a couple of extra in but as they are booked heavily we may have to split the group for seating. Pizzas are $18 each on a Tuesday night so allow $9 each if you are sharing. There is an extensive beer list. Let me know if you are not staying for pizza so the booking for pizza can be adjusted.
Please bring water, hat and wear footwear suitable for walking.
