Join us at 7:00pm CT every 1st Monday of the Month at OakHill Theater (Squarerut Kava Bar) for The CBC Writers Circle, A collective that prides itself on bringing writers and creatives of all levels together in an inclusive, supportive space dedicated to creativity, growth, and connection.
Each session is thoughtfully facilitated by Communication By Captivation and features a curated writing focus or prompt to spark ideas! Though you’re always welcome to write whatever’s calling to you. Whether you’re working on a novel, journaling, poetry, screenplays, stage scripts, or simply trying to get words on the page, this circle is designed to meet you where you are.
Our gatherings are structured to encourage participation without pressure and typically include:
- A warm up featuring the literary device of the day!
- A writing prompt to get you going! (or ignore and write about whatever. Totally your call)
- 15 minutes of focused writing time
- Optional sharing and feedback. No pressure to share
- Accountability check-in (if asked for)
Each session includes:
🪑 Spots are limited - 7 participants per session to maintain intimacy and give everyone space and time to be heard.
