Exploring Petersburg: Downtown + historic Blandford church (5-6 miles easy)

Come spend a late winter Sunday exploring the charming neighborhoods and downtown of historic Petersburg. Earlybirds will meet at Buttery Baking House for coffee/pastries at 9:30. Hike will step off from there at 10am. We'll walk through the city and surrounding neighborhood including a scenic overlook of the Appomattox River on the VSU campus before a post hike stop for lunch. After lunch, those interested will drive to nearby Blandford Church, which is the oldest building in Petersburg. The church has 15 original Tiffany stained glass windows. 13 of them represent the states of the U.S. Confederacy. We will take a guided tour of the church ($10.00).
