🐴 Volunteer With Us to Help Us Care for Our Horses

If weekends are good for folks, I'm happy to have you all visiting the ranch again on Saturday, 02/07/2026, if you're available. I'm happy to give new folks a tour of the ranch and the horses. We can meet up at 11 am and stay till about 3pm (or when the horses are all fed). I recommend bringing water and snacks/lunch to munch on. If you need to leave earlier, just let me know

What my regular day looks like out there if it's just me:
*Let the stall horses out with the rest of the herd (these horses are special, so they've got to be single-stalled every evening)
*Prep breakfast/dinner/water
*Muck stalls
*Do repairs/clean up
*Make the environment a little better than the last time I've seen it

The more folks I have out there on any given day, the more we can accomplish together for the horses

I highly recommend bringing boots, galoshes, or any other shoe type you don't mind sinking into mud. Wearing clothes you don't mind getting dirty will help. Have a jacket and hat handy for the inclement weather. This Saturday is due to be about 72 degrees by mid-afternoon so it'll warm up. Definitely have layers handy

This role also includes caring for each horse’s feeding and watering areas — scrubbing and refilling water bins, cleaning hay bins, and ensuring every stall is safe, dry, and ready. It’s hands-on, deeply satisfying work that directly supports the wellbeing of our herd and keeps the barn running smoothly.

Grooming is where relationships grow. Volunteers brush coats, clean hooves, detangle manes, and provide gentle care that keeps our horses comfortable and confident. Perfect for anyone who wants meaningful one-on-one time with horses.

Help our horses enjoy daily exercise and enrichment by walking them safely from their stalls to turnout areas or arenas. Volunteers learn safe leading techniques and experience the grounding connection of walking alongside a horse.

Our program thrives in a space that feels safe, beautiful, and well cared for. Volunteers help maintain pastures, trim walkways, tend gardens, repair fencing, and keep the property welcoming year-round. A great fit for those who love being outdoors and working with their hands.

For the makers, organizers, and problem-solvers. Volunteers help organize tack rooms, sort supplies, label equipment, clean and tidy shared barn spaces, build small projects, and create new systems that make the barn run smoothly. This role is perfect for anyone who loves improving spaces, bringing order to chaos, and turning good ideas into practical solutions that support the whole herd.

🚜 Hauling & Barn Support Crew – “Keep the Barn Running Smoothly”
This behind‑the‑scenes role is essential to the health of the horses and the overall flow of the barn. Volunteers help haul manure, move trash, transport supplies, and assist with lifting or moving tasks that keep the property clean, safe, and functional. Perfect for those who enjoy physical activity and want to make a visible impact with every visit.

We provide hands‑on volunteer training to ensure everyone feels confident, safe, and supported in their role. Training is offered on Wednesdays and weekends, giving new volunteers the chance to learn at a comfortable pace and ask questions as they go. Whether you’re brand new to horses or returning after time away, we’ll walk you through every task step‑by‑step — from grooming and turnout to stall care, hauling, and barn safety.
