IN PERSON. Pay your organizer. - Soueymane's Story (2024) at Cinematheque and Sittoo's afterwardsCleveland Cinematheque, Cleveland, OH
As he pedals through the streets of Paris to deliver meals, Souleymane repeats his story. In two days, he has to go through his asylum application interview, the key to obtaining papers, but Souleymane is not ready. I was looking for a lighthearted comedy to host, but I am drawn into movies that talk about our current history. Stories about people who seek asylum in Europe or America speaks to our times. We will meet by the benchs at 4:20 pm and the movie starts at 4:35 pm. Afterwards, dinner at Sittoo's which we will walk to after the film is over.
