About us
The 'Data Driven Community' is a global and inclusive group of individuals with an interest in Data and Data Platforms. Our focus includes the Collection & Migration, Storage, Management, Processing, and Visualization of data in both cloud and on-premises environments.
Our community offers two main activities: a weekly meeting of the 'Cloud Data Driven' User Group and an annual 'Future Data Driven' Summit conference.
We focus on sharing knowledge, learning, meetings, and discussions on a wide range of topics, including Data and Data Platforms, Microsoft Fabric and Power BI, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, LLMs such as Copilot and RAG, DevOps, Data Engineering, Analytics, and more.
Our members come from diverse backgrounds and hold a wide range of skills, from occasional DBAs to senior administrators, experienced developers, Big Data analysts, and data scientists.
You can find us on Facebook, YouTube, and LinkedIn. Registration is available through Meetup, Eventbrite, and the 'Data Driven Community' website:

Implementing Zero Trust Security Architectures: Federated vs Centralized
·OnlineOnline🔐 Securing modern data systems is no longer about boundaries - it is about trust, identity, and control.
As enterprise data ecosystems expand across hybrid and multi-cloud environments, traditional perimeter-based security models are no longer sufficient to protect sensitive information. Organizations are increasingly adopting Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) to secure complex data environments where information flows across distributed platforms, services, and organizational boundaries.
💡 In this session, we explore how Zero Trust principles can be applied to modern enterprise data architectures, focusing on the security implications of federated and centralized data models.
🔍 What will be covered:
🔹 How federated and centralized architectures handle identity management
🔹 Approaches to access control in distributed environments
🔹 Data governance strategies within a Zero Trust framework⚖️ Architectural trade-offs:
🔹 Federated architectures support data sovereignty, localized policy enforcement, and distributed resilience
🔹 Centralized architectures enable unified security policies, centralized monitoring, and coordinated threat response🤖 AI and Zero Trust:
🔹 Real-time threat detection powered by AI
🔹 Behavioral analytics for anomaly identification
🔹 Automated response mechanisms to mitigate risks🛡️ Protecting modern data pipelines:
🔹 Securing AI-powered data pipelines end-to-end
🔹 Maintaining data lineage visibility across systems
🔹 Ensuring compliance with evolving regulatory requirements🎯 Learning objectives:
🔹 Design secure and scalable enterprise data systems
🔹 Understand the trade-offs between federated and centralized models
🔹 Implement Zero Trust strategies for stronger data protection in AI-enabled environments📊 Level: Intermediate
