Title: Find Products with AI: From Images to Answers Using RAG
Synopsis: He will present a live demo that walks through his recent proof-of-concept on building a multi-modal RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) system for product search. The session will cover how retail product images can be ingested and processed using BLIP for automated captioning, converted into text embeddings with Sentence Transformers, stored and searched in Pinecone, and finally combined with GPT-based LLMs to generate natural, user-friendly responses. The demo will show the full pipeline in action—from image ingestion and metadata creation to similarity search and LLM reasoning—along with a Streamlit UI that makes the experience interactive. The goal is to show how this approach can be built without heavy infrastructure, making it accessible to individuals or small teams interested in GenAI, vector search, multimodal retrieval, or AI for commerce use cases.
