Women of COTA Monday Funday!
Details
Join us for Monday Funday!
We're switching it up this week and hosting a Ride & Learn & Work. We'll ride as a group from the Welcome Station while stopping to look at prior drain work on Ticket to Ride, a re-route of an old user trail that was impacting wildlife, and a demonstration of brushing for sight lines on the new extension of Marvin's Garden. This is a No-Drop Ride. All ability levels are welcome and no one is left behind! We will teach proper brushing techniques and there will be an opportunity for us to brush a section of Marvin's Garden.
Where: Meet at the Cascade Lakes Welcome Station.
When: We plan to hit the trail by 5:30. Please arrive 5-10 minutes early so that we can leave on time.
Bring: Water, helmet, bike and a snack. Riding backpacks are helpful to carry small brushing tools. Please no dogs.
We'll begin with a meet and greet, have a safety talk, and then hit the trail. The ride itself will be between 5 and 6 miles. Be prepared to learn and have FUN! Talking about the trails, all that goes into creating new trails, and the techniques used to maintain them is fun, so please ask questions!
Women of COTA is centered on bringing women together in a supportive environment to learn about COTA and the trail building/maintenance process. You do not need to be a COTA member and everyone is welcome.
If you have to cancel, please be kind and send a message at least an hour before the event.
