Book Chat: The Cupid Chronicles

The first official meeting of the Cozy Books book club!
At the planning event we chose our first book, by vote: The Cupid Chronicle by Courtney Walsh

A grumpy chef and his bubbly neighbor, a love averse art teacher, are forced to play matchmakers by a magical newspaper, leading to unexpected love in a historic building, where matchmaking is a recurring theme.
It's a feel-good story with light magical realism, a grumpy/sunshine trope, and a sweet, slow-burn romance.

The Cupid Chronicles is a standalone book in the Only Magic in the Building series. These closed door, whimsical romance books are all set in the same historic building, which has a habit of playing matchmaker with its residents. There are light magical elements, but no spells, shifters, or dark magic of any kind.

For this meeting we will break the evening into three portions:
First we’ll start with chatting about the book, sharing our impressions and opinions, with a few questions to help prompt discussion.

Next we’ll have our “Cozy Life” bit, where we are all welcome to share our current inspiration for a warm, inviting and charming lifestyle - think: coziness show-and-tell!

Finally, we’ll end the night by deciding our next read!
Bring any ideas of cozy/comforting books to add to the group TBR (to be read) we started at the planning meeting. To decide we will use an elimination style vote. Then we’ll schedule our next meeting and get to reading!
