What we’re about
Welcome to D57 Toastmasters network of non-profit clubs in your area!
"The mission of a Toastmasters club is to provide a mutually supportive and positive learning environment in which every individual member has the opportunity to develop oral communication and leadership skills, which in turn foster self-confidence and personal growth."
You're welcome to visit a few club meetings based on the time and place that works for your schedule. Sample the public speaking waters and see how our diverse, friendly community is a great way to connect and make new friends!
Toastmasters International is a worldwide community with proven speaking and communication programs to take scared public speakers, self-professed introverts and unskilled managers and grow them into confident, competent, and even amazing leaders and presenters — all at your own pace, based on your own goals.
We're a non-profit, so we're cheap to join, and all we really want is for you to come grow in our safe environment, joining our supportive and amazing community!

Join us! Oakland Uptown Toastmasters is a diverse club with members from inside and outside Kaiser Permanente and the state of California. We are a welcoming and inclusive club that wants everyone to feel at home. Members are encouraged to give speeches at their own pace, which helps people feel more comfortable. As a club, we help and encourage each other to become better speakers and leaders. Our club meets every Tuesday at noon via Zoom.
