As a courtesy to the other hikers, please arrive 5 minutes early so we can start hiking at the scheduled time. Thank you.

As we have done in the last couple of months, we'll continue hiking at a moderately brisk pace of approximately 3.0 mph. This is not a slow pace. Please ensure that you are able to meet this pace (20 minutes/mile) before you sign up. Please contact me prior to the hike if you are unsure. Meet at the billboard at the trail head directly next to the restrooms. If you have any questions/need directions or anything I can be reached at 937-287-7434; please text or leave a voicemail.

We will hike a combination of Sugarcreek trails. Please let me know if you prefer to do the 3 mile option so we can guide you back to the parking lot whenever you desire.

Dogs are permitted with leashes no longer than 8 feet, per park guidelines.

I have been walking upto 12 miles north and south on the west side of the Greater Miami for two years now.

My dog has walked with me when noone RSVPs. He does well with people but not other dogs.

Because my dog has proved more reliable than the people making reservations I have decided to change the focus of the hike to my dog instead of beginning hikers.

Please come help me watch my dog sniff the side of the trail at about 2.8 mph. We will leave the distance up to you with a 12 mile limit. If we walk 12 miles the dog will expect a treat.

You are responsible for your fluids, I will take responsibility for mine and the dog’s.

This beautiful evening hike will be about 4.5 miles at a pace of about 2.8 mph. If you are a beginner, this would not be a good hike for you. Hiking shoes are recommended and water and Trekking poles could be helpful.
