DC Literature Society

This meeting will be dedicated to talking about the first 375 pages of Infinite Jest. We will be reading up until "30 April / 1 May Year of the Depend Adult Undergarment."

Feel free to read ahead but the discussion will only cover up until this point.

This will be the first of four meetings planned for Infinite Jest. These meetings will be scheduled monthly. Each meeting will cover roughly 250 pages. Our first meeting had to be postponed and so will cover more than normal.

UPDATE: We will plan to discuss the 1855 edition of Whitman’s “Leaves of Grass.” This is a much slimmer volume than the 1892 “Deathbed” edition, so we’ll plan to discuss the entire work.
