🏛️ Our community centers around three principles:
Belonging, Safety, and Trust. Please report harassment over meetup to an organizer or contact email in our Code of Conduct.
🧑💻 Software Developers, you may find value at our meetup doing one or none of the following: look for a better job, meet developers and make friends, validate the feasibility of an ambitious side project, get help with my coding blocker or homework, gain insight and awareness into a company you're interviewing for, learn about other professions involving code, join a vibrant online discord community, and/or hangout to sip coffee in a perfect space with friendly people.
📈 Tech companies, we're currently available for sponsorships and partnerships! You may find us helpful in business areas such as developer relations, brand visibility, product feedback, user interviews, recruiting, lead generation, and community engagement.

Please RSVP ahead of time so we can get an accurate count on coffee.
Code and Coffee is an inclusive, informal co-working and hanging out community. People of all skill levels attend, and we love it that way. Some people (optionally) bring projects to work on, and some come and (also optionally) socialize the entire time. We encourage everyone to attend our variety of workshops and events we host each meetup, but it's entirely up to you to just come in and hangout!
The Intro Circle
Near the beginning of the event (1:30 pm), we do a standup in a circle:- We first announce organizer announcements, updates, and logistics
Round 1 - (7 secs max):
- Your name
- What you can help others with
- What you would like help with
- Job opportunities you're hiring for
Round 2:
- Community events you wanna plug. If none, that's cool too.
After the introduction circle, everything is self-organized. We sometimes have FEATURES in a nearby room; checkout those events on Meetup as well.
🧑🤝🧑 Community Discord - come hang out before and after!:

https://www.capitalone.com/ - Reimagining Git Learning through Visualization and GamificationCapital One Café, Denver, CO
This is a feature discussion that is happening along side the regular meetup. The discussion itself will go from 2pm - 3pm. Come at 1pm to mingle with the community. Space is limited and is on a first come first serve basis.
Git has the potential to connect anyone (not just the tech-savvy) to the vast constellation of interlinked codebases and the code within them, especially in the open-source community. The main roadblock? The inherently abstract nature of Git concepts that prevents the average person from easily connecting with Git. Conventional resources and tools struggle to bridge this gap.
In this discussion, Jacob will share his ongoing journey and mission to reimagine Git learning and usage. His ultimate goal is to transform what can often be a challenging and intimidating process into something approachable - and maybe even fun!
Jacob Stopak is a software developer and version control enthusiast dedicated to making Git more intuitive and accessible. He is the creator of Devlands, Git-Sim, and initialcommit.com, projects that are transforming how people learn and experience Git.
