When and where
We leave the Belleview Elementary School parking lot at 5:45 PM, so please try to arrive a few minutes before then. If you are running late or can't find us, leave a comment or send a DM!

Pace and distance
Our typical run is around 4.5 miles at a steady 9-11:00 minute/mile pace. However, this varies depending on who shows up!

Group size
We usually have around 5-10 people attend, depending on the weather and season. Many of us have been coming for years; some people come every week, while others come less frequently.

About us
This is a small, dedicated running group that's been meeting consistently for several years (formerly under Colorado Runs). We're a friendly, tight-knit group that welcomes new members who are looking to make friends, train for races, or find consistent running partners.

Social Country Dancing at Stampede – Ladies Night Special!
Join the Denver Fun Young Adults crew (20s–40s) for a fun Wednesday night of country line dancing, partner dancing, and great vibes at the iconic Stampede Club!

Event Highlights:

• Ladies Night perks — Ladies get 2 free drinks with entry!
• Free dance lessons — Line dancing starts at 6:30 PM (with instructor Laurie Burkhardt or similar—beginner-friendly!).
• Social dancing — The floor heats up around 7:30–8 PM and goes late. I usually arrive around 8 PM or later to jump straight into the social part—perfect if you're not doing lessons.
• Music & Vibe — Live country DJ, huge dance floor, mechanical bull, multiple bars, and a mix of line dancing + two-step/partner dancing. Casual, energetic, and welcoming to all levels.
• Food & Extras — Grill menu available (burgers, wings, etc.) if you get hungry.

Details:

• Date: Every Wednesday (I'll probably do once a month)
• Time: Doors open at 6:00 PM | Lessons 6:30–7:30 PM | Social dancing ~8 PM onward
• Location: Stampede Club 2430 South Havana St., Aurora, CO 80014 (About 30–45 min drive from Castle Rock/Denver—free parking lot!)
• Cover: $10 (often discounted or waived for ladies on specials—check door)
• Meetup Spot: I'll gather by the tables close to the DJ booth on the left side of the dance floor (right when you walk in-most likely I'll be dancing)

Tips for Newbies:

• Dress: Country casual (boots encouraged, jeans/comfy shoes for dancing)
• Age: 21+ with valid ID
• Bring: Comfortable dance shoes (no rubber soles), friends, and your energy!
• First time? Arrive early for lessons or later like me—no pressure!

Jackbox is a collection of party games including drawing, word games, trivia, and more. All you need to bring is your phone, a good attitude, and a sense of humour!

Western Sky has plenty of parking right on the street so no need to worry about space. They have pizza and pretzels and a wide selection of beer. Come on down and lets have a good time.
