## Día De Los Muertos Hike: Honoring Ancestors at Torrey Pines

Join us on Saturday, November 1, 2025, for a free, peaceful, community-focused morning at the stunning Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve as we celebrate Día de Los Muertos! We'll hike, reflect, and honor our ancestors amidst the beautiful San Diego cliffs and ocean breeze. All are welcome—bring your friends, family, and kids!

• Hike Time: 9:00 AM
• Hike Meetup: Torrey Pines Natural Reserve (Bottom of the hill, near the tables at the entrance).

7:45 AM - 8:30 AM at Birdrock Coffee Roasters (2212 Carmel Valley Rd, Del Mar, CA 92014)
Join us for an early caffeine fix and conversation! This spot offers easier parking before we caravan to Torrey Pines by 9:00 AM. Pro Tip: To skip the line, consider ordering your coffee online for pickup before you arrive!

### Honoring Our Loved Ones

We invite you to bring a small, non-obtrusive token to honor your loved ones at the top of the trail:

• Optional Items: A small photo, a note of gratitude, a flower, or any small personal token that reminds you of an ancestor or loved one.
• The Moment: At the summit, take a private moment to reflect, say a prayer, or simply share gratitude for those you love and miss.

### 🎒 What to Bring

• Comfortable shoes and plenty of water. Sunscreen/hat/sunnies.
• Optional: Light snack.
• Optional: Frida-inspired touches or light face paint.

> Note: No dogs/pets are allowed in Torrey Pines Natural Reserve. Restrooms are available near the Reserve entrance.
