Hiking for Health and Happiness! - Nillumbik Aqueduct Trail - Research

Starting outside Soul at Mickys Café – Research we will walk the Nillumbik Aqueduct Trail. The trail utilises the corridor of the historically significant Maroondah Aqueduct and is a family friendly trail. The aqueduct was an engineering feat, following the contours of the land from Maroondah Dam in Healesville to Melbourne’s storage dam in Preston.
The aqueduct has a relatively wide easement, picturesque setting, and a constant gradient, aside from the creek and road crossings.

The walk is suitable for most and dogs on lead are welcome.
In total we will cover approximately 9 kms in 2.5 hours.

For anyone interested afterwards we will meet for a coffee, chat and lunch at Mickeys after.
