Eastern Pennsylvania State Parks Programs

Join us for your first hike of the year! This year we will be hiking the 2-mile Scotts Run Loop, this trail is considered fairly easy. During the hike various Pennsylvania Dutch Hex signs will be staged along the trail. As we pass the signs we will learn about their meaning, history, and how they relate to local culture. Great way to celebrate America 250! All ages welcome leashed dogs welcome!

Join a state park naturalist to watch the sun rise over the Tohickon Creek Gorge. Once the sun has risen, we will hike about 3 miles in the morning hours while watching for birds and other wildlife. This hike will have uneven terrain with significant elevation changes. Please be sure to bring water along (and maybe your morning coffee). A limited number of microspikes will be available to borrow if need be (but please bring your own if you have some!).

• Bathrooms: There is a port-o-john at this meeting location.
• What to Bring: Appropriate footwear for walking is required. Layers are also required this time of year.
