See all- Intro to Weaving: Cuff BraceletPush/Pull, Seattle, WAUSD 45.00
This is a paid class that requires registration. Sign up here.
Learn the basics of weaving and make yourself a fashionable accessory! This technique uses a basic weave with a loom and wool or cotton yarn. Wood beads hold the bracelet closed. If you've been looking to get into fiber crafting, but crochet and knitting aren't speaking to you, weaving may be the answer.
All materials are provided, plus you get to keep your loom and needles for more at-home projects! This class is recommended for ages 16 and up.
Maxx FG (she/her) just can't seem to stop making things. She used to get most of her fiber art fix from crochet, but found it harder on aging hands. Weaving has been a way to create beautiful fiber art things without cramped hands.
- Majestic Oil LandscapesPush/Pull, Seattle, WAUSD 65.00
This is a paid class that requires registration. Sign up here.
Paint beautiful landscapes with oils in this single-session introductory class for beginner and intermediate painters. We'll focus on using references as inspiration and letting go as our natural worlds reveal themselves on canvas. Plus, explore the mysterious medium of oil painting without using solvents--a much healthier way to interact with the medium.
All materials are provided. Paintings will be wet when class is finished. Students are encouraged to pick up paintings one week after class.
This class is recommended for students ages 14 and up. We offer a discount on this class for students aged 55 and up; please email rj@pushpullseattle.com if you would like to request a discount code.
Maxx avoided oils for years, hearing that they were too toxic and dangerous. It wasn't until recently that she discovered the paints are not to blame but the solvents used with them! Painting without solvents is beautifully textured and better for you and the environment.

Concerned about the state of... well, everything? Let's join together and use our special weird powers for good!
Be a part of the Riff Raff League, a group of neighbors banding together for mutual aid, community building, and political action. We'll meet weekly for an hour to talk through what's happening locally and nationally and to brainstorm what we can do about it.
Come when you can, provide ideas and solutions, or just listen to what's going on in the neighborhood. This event is free, after-hours at Push/Pull. RSVPs are appreciated, but we will not turn anyone away. You are welcome to bring snacks to share. Recommended for ages 14 and up.
Push/Pull's Director, Maxx FG, will be moderating meetings of the RiffRaff League. Maxx has been passionate about politics from a young age and believes collective action is critical to a functioning democracy.
