Join me for a relaxed walk in the beautiful natural bushland of Doctor’s Swamp, just west of Murchison township. The swamp is one of the most pristine red gum wetlands in Victoria, with abundant wildlife and many waterbirds.

It will be a leisurely walk with time to take photos, stop and watch wildlife and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere together. The walk will be around 5km in total. It’s very flat terrain and the tracks are mostly well compacted gravel or dirt.

We will meet on the Old Whroo Rd west of Murchison approximately 1km east of Willow Road, where we can park easily. From here we’ll walk east along the track and through the bush to Cattanach Canal.

We'll turn and head back to an open area near where we have parked to picnic, relax, chat and share any photos over a picnic lunch.

Doctor’s Swamp is a one hour and 50 min drive from M80 Ring Road in Melbourne. It begins around 1km west of Murchison township.

Meeting place:
Old Whroo Road, approximately 1km east of Willow Road (more detailed directions will be sent to attendees).
Saturday 21st November, 10.00am till 12.00pm
