Fishburners was established in 2011 by successful tech entrepreneurs Mike Casey and Pete Davison to provide a vibrant community of like minded entrepreneurs who could share ideas and learn from each other as they forged new frontiers, using technology to innovate and develop new products and services and to create new jobs.
That legacy continues and has grown and strengthened to become Australia’s largest startup community with over 35,000 entrepreneurs creating the innovations and jobs that are fueling our economy, today and tomorrow.

On February 26, Fishburners is hosting the Female Founder Pitch Night, a deliberate opening statement for 2026 and a signal of where we’re putting our weight, our energy, and our platform.

A female-only pitch night hosted by Fishburners, Australia’s largest startup community.
Selected female founders will pitch their businesses in front of investors, operators, ecosystem leaders, and peers who are here to listen, engage, and support, not judge from the sidelines.
