Step into the dark-sky magic of Savage Christmas Creek on a special after-hours night hike. We’ll complete a 2.6-mile loop through pine flatwoods, listening for owls and night sounds while our lights pick up blazes and eye-shine. This venue is normally closed at night—we have special access as this property is typically closed at sunset, so please arrive on time.

What to bring

• Headlamp with red light (or red filter) + spare batteries (no bright white beams in faces)
• Closed-toe shoes with good tread; lightweight layer
• Water, snacks, bug spray

Important notes

• After-hours access: Please arrive on time
• Wildlife & etiquette: Keep voices low; stick together between sweep and lead. (no pets please)
• Bathrooms: None on-trail; plan accordingly.
• Weather: Light rain won’t cancel; severe weather = cancel (updates via Meetup).
• Pets: Due to the nature of the experience we want everyone to have, please leave your furry friends at home.
