10/22 update with more details - RSVP for paddling by 1/31/2026

Make your lodging arrangements now for 2/27-3/1 or come earlier or stay longer. Right now there are 9 spots available at Collier Seminole State Park: https://reserve.floridastateparks.org/Web/#!park/13/33 - cost is $22.00/night for tent only sites.
You can also camp at Trail Lakes for $45/night for a tent, or $75/night for an RV. There is also a group camping site (primitive) and some rustic cabins.
If you choose a hotel or AirBnb, look for a place close to the Ivey House Hotel.
I am staying in an AirBnb for the prior week to work, but will come visit wherever everyone else is.

Itinerary:
February 27th - arrive and settle in lodging; if early enough, we will find something fun to do, no doubt!
February 28th
* 10am-12pm: pontoon boat tour of 10,000 islands (cost $45.79 per person)
*12pm-3pm: lunch in town, walk the boardwalk, etc.
*3pm-8:30pm: sunset paddle on the Turner River (cost about $100 per person)
March 1st
*9am-2pm: paddle in Fakahatchee Strand swamp (cost about $100 per person)
*airboat tour or other activities, or just relax at camp
Head on out to whatever is next on your list!

The reason I am choosing guided paddling is because it is so easy to get lost among the mangroves! You do not need to do all of the activities.
RSVP and pay by 1/31. The event will be updated with the actual costs for paddling.
