If you love the French language, this group is for you!
Once a month, French speakers and French language lovers gather at the French Institute of Michigan, in Farmington hills to talk about a French movie, sip some wine and share their thoughts about the movie.
Right now please note the meetings are online on zoom! Watch the movie at your convenience before the meeting and then join everyone to discuss it !
This meetup is for all levels of French and the movies all have English subtitles. This is a nice way to start the weekend and to practice your French in a very friendly environment.

Free Movie night "Astérix et Obélix: Mission Cléopâtre" Thursday Feb 19th 6 PM

As usual, our doors open at 5:30 pm for a social time in French (or not in French)The superheros of 50 B.C., Asterix (Christian Clavier) and Obelix (Gérard Depardieu), are called to Egypt to help an architect, Edifis (Jamel Debbouze), win a bet for Cleopatra (Monica Bellucci). Defending the greatness of her people, Cleopatra has told Julius Caesar that she will erect a great palace for him within three months. Then she tells her architect that, if he does not make the schedule, he is going to be fed to the crocodiles. Asterix and Obelix do their best to keep him alive.

Jamel Debbouze and Gérard Darmon won Best supporting actorsAll movies are in French subtitled in English!
