Bayside Walk - Raby Bay and Cleveland (8.5km)
Details
The Event:
Stating at Raby Bay Harbour Park, Raby Bay (this is across the road from Cleveland Train Station). We will walk through Raby Bay Foreshore and Harbour Precinct and then continue through Bowsprit Parade Park, Anzac Centenary Park, Warner Canal Park, Shore Street North Foreshore with our turnaround point being the spectacular Cleveland Point Recreation Reserve (where the Lighthouse is). Afterwards we will finish at the start point and an optional breakfast, coffee, tea or smoothies will be at Chop 'n Chill Raby Bay.
The Walk:
The walk is about 8.5km in length, fully pathed and some road, with only part shade cover in parts. It is all flat with one small slope which is not classified as a hill. Several water fountains along the route with public bathrooms facilities at the turnaround point at Cleveland Point.
Parking and Getting There:
Driving and Parking: Where we meet is on Shore Street, there is some street parking but I recommend parking in the Train Station Car Park. Enter off Harbour View Court. Please do not park in shopping centre car park, there is ample street parking nearby.
Public Transport: The start and end point is walkable from Cleveland or train station or from bus stops on Shore Street.
Optional Breakfast, Coffee, Tea or Cold Drinks After Walk:
We will dine at Chop 'n Chill Raby Bay, renowned for a great atmosphere, food and views of the harbour. A table has been reserved in advance.
