Hike Details - This is an out and back hike on the Pass Mountain Trail and Appalachian Trail to Double Bear Rocks in Shenandoah National Park North District. We are going to start the hike with a climb up from the parking area via the Pass Mountain Trail to the summit of Pass Mountain. Upon reaching the Appalachian Trail, we are going to turn right onto the Appalachian Trail and climb over the summit of Pass Mountain. On the other side of the summit is the fantastic viewpoint from Double Bear Rocks. We will have a view of the Shenandoah Valley and the Massanutten Ridge. After soaking in the views, we will retrace our steps back to the cars. There are multiple post hike options in breweries and wineries that we will discuss during the hike. The post hike is completely optional.
