Details
SUMMARY
Bike and hike Geal-chàrn Mòr is the southeasternmost summit of the vast Monadh Liath plateau. It gives a fairly straightforward hillwalk and offers superb views of the Cairngorms across Strathspey.
12k 600m ascent 2 hours.
We will bike on good track to near the summit, then walk in morderate pace falls with “Naismith’s Rule” Naismith’s Rule on boggy path, very short walk to summit. Then return the same way.
Grade 2 Bog Factor 1
TERRAIN
Good track as far as the pass, then rougher path over heather to summit. Return route follows rougher paths, boggy in places.
