6:30pm - 9:30pm

Another New Year? Surely not!

But for 300 million people around the world the spring equinox is the start of their year, their annual calendar and normally celebrated between 20th and 21st March. In many middle eastern countries this celebration is known as Naw-Ruz, meaning 'new day'.

Believe it or not, even this country marked the spring equinox as the start of the new year before Christianity and the introduction of the Gregorian Calendar.

So why celebrate new year on the first day of spring? Well, as nature renews itself and evidence of new life returns after a long winter, a new year also begins giving new life to our renewed resolutions. Naw-Ruz is particularly significant in Iran and Persian guests at this month's International Dinner look forward to sharing this special time of year with everyone complete with its historical and cultural traditions.

But there's more ...

Guests celebrating Lent can offer creative dishes reflecting this very special time of year - a month that reflects a period of spiritual growth for so many of us in the city.

So please join us and learn more about these amazing traditions with your own contribution of colourful and delicious dishes, home comfort foods and traditional family recipes. Help us learn about your cultural food and cuisine and add your unique personal magic to the evening.
If you prefer not to cook - then buy a contribution and bring it along!
A donation box will also be available for those who may wish to make a financial donation towards future International Dinners.

Definitely a night not to be missed!
See you there!
