HIKE DESCRIPTION:
10.9 miles and 1615 ft. elevation gain
We will start our hike at the parking lot between Sulphur Springs shelters and Sassafras Loop Trailhead. Be begin our day by completing the Sassafras Loop, then head up the Sulphur Springs Loop Trail. We will pass Mountain Lake on our way to the Kanuga Trail. Then we hike along North Lake on our way to the Pipsissewa Trail. Again, we connect to a section of the Kanuga Trail. Finally, we join the Sulphur Springs Loop again to descend to our vehicles.
GNHA-DESPEUXRADOS INFORMATION:
This group meets Wed at University Square Shopping Center. The specific hikes are described 1 to 4 weeks in advance and target hikes which are 10 miles long and climb 2000 ft. We hike at approx. 2.5 MPH, faster or slower depending on terrain.
