Speakers:
Peter began his 40-year tech journey in 1982, programming for CNC Lathes on the Apple ][+. He went on to establish various innovative businesses, including SapphireOne, an accounting software firm, in 1987. In 2000, he left SapphireOne to join the corporate world for 2 years before leaving to join Leap Software, where he was the 30th employee. There, he was involved in legal software development. In 2010, he developed a live TV engagement platform with clients like UFC, FOX, CNN, ESPN and Channel Nine. This was followed by the creation of a private messaging product, which unfortunately closed in 2018 due to changes in the banking sector.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Peter created an online yoga platform with his Co-Founder. While doing so, they identified inefficiencies in the payment process and issues with suppliers. This led him to his current project: utilising blockchain to streamline transactions and reduce paperwork. His work reflects his continuous commitment to business efficiency and operational problem-solving, a theme that has remained constant since 1985.
Peter will present his "pay-everyone-at-once" model using Hedera for his Co-Founders Yoga business. With this model, when students arrive for a class, the teacher, landlords, operations, services, and marketing suppliers are all paid instantly. This method has generated $250k in savings for his Co-Founders $4M Yoga Business already.
