Hike Upper Paugussett, Lillinonah Trail, Newtown CT

This will be a moderate 6 mile loop along the Housatonic River and back up into the parking area. This is considered Paugussett State Forest the Upper Block. The terrain is woods trails varied with roots rocks ups and downs.
It is now winter so hiking boots are required. It's winter so make sure you have micro spikes in your pack. We have no idea what the trail conditions will be until we get there. Please bring a pack with water, snacks, poles. We will take a break at the point area on Lake Lillinonah.

Dogs must be on leash and not running through the group.
Park at the Boat launch area parking.

There are NO BATHROOMS-maybe. (Suggest bathroom facilities off at exit 15, Southbury and taking a right and a right up into the plaza and using the McDonalds.)

I'm going to start everyone on a waitlist.

• The group will not adjust speed or trail route to accommodate your schedule.
• If you cannot attend an event, please cancel 48 hours before. Late cancellations are rude and take away the option for others to join the event.
