Reconnect with nature—and yourself—on a soul-soothing Saturday in Ojai. Join us August 16 for a peaceful morning river hike followed by light brunch and a restorative sound bath led by D. Lisa and Mimi Camarillo. It’s the perfect way to ground your body, open your heart, and connect with kindred spirits who crave calm and community. Just bring your love for nature, a curious spirit, and a desire to slow down and connect.

8:30-10:00am: Easy Hike
Meet up at the Riverview Trailhead parking lot at 519 S. Rice Rd. You may need to park on the road near the parking lot.

10:45am-12:00pm Brunch & Soundbath
From the hike, follow us back to D. Lisa's house (very near the trailhead) We’ll have a light brunch & time to chat, followed by a sound bath from D. Lisa and Mimi Camarillo

• Comfortable hiking clothes/shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty

Who is D. Lisa?

D.Lisa is a dream doula, an atelier trained artist, and spiritual teacher and speaker. Her inspirational courses are taught online and in person on the west coast. She has been writing down her dreams since she was in her twenties. D.Lisa uses dream images and dream messages in her art and in her workshops. She teaches about the power of listening to dreams.

D.Lisa is a spiritual life coach for women creatives and entrepreneurs, helping them release fear, and doubt, and worry and live more authentically. Her clients go from feeling stuck and unfulfilled, to living their best lives and feeling free! They co-create their lives with the universe. She works online and hosts workshops in person in Ojai, Ventura, and on the West Coast.

Here’s how it works: Each person writes a question on a card...something they’re wondering, facing, or curious about in life, business, or in-between. We shuffle the cards, then take turns pulling one at random, reading it out loud to the group. Whoever feels called to answer? Jumps in. We keep it open, honest, and respectful. No pressure, just perspective. Sometimes the right question sparks a dozen lightbulbs. Sometimes the simplest advice hits the hardest. Either way, everyone walks away a little wiser.

It’s simple, low-key, and surprisingly helpful. Whether you’re figuring things out, shifting directions, or just want to connect with women who get it - his is for you!

### Who is Carlyn Carter Wice?

In the early 2000s, I taught psychology courses at community colleges and to youth at ("nerd") summer camp. After that, I worked for nine years with families and individuals as a social worker. I love both teaching and advocating for others.
In an unexpected turn of events, I became an empathetic ear, not only for the students and clients I served but for colleagues and coworkers as well. I began to see the shortcomings of academic and governmental employment and brushed up on employment law in my spare time. My passion shifted to helping burned-out employees AND the organizations that need them at their best.
During the pandemic In 2020, I pivoted my career to Human Resources from social work. Since then, I have helped nonprofits and small businesses become compliant with HR laws and regulations and build their workplace cultures. CCC started in 2023 and I could not have done It without help from professors, mentors, neighbors, friends, family, and previous employers. I hold a BA and MA in Psychology from USC and an MSHR from Pepperdine and cannot WAIT to hear YOUR story.
