Travel past the Biltmore House toward Antler Hill Village. Park in the first available area just past the Lagoon. We will access the Deer Park Trail from there. (I will be monitoring the Comments section of this walk page and also Meetup messages. If you get confused or lost, contact me right away.)

Deer Park Trail goes through the Deer Park (though it isn't near Lioncrest and the other DeerPark facilities). It comes to a T intersection. We will go right to where you can access the Garden Trails. Then we will turn around and go up the hill to the South Terrace of the Biltmore House. From there we will retrace our steps to the start point. It is about 2.5 miles round trip, or so says the map.

I've done this walk in both tennis shoes and in light hiking boots (from a different start point). I'll probably bring walking poles for the hill, though most of the walk won't need them.

Bring plenty of water and a protein snack. Dress for the weather; consider a hat and sunscreen. Dogs are welcome. Trail strollers would probably work.

PS: It being National Chocolate Covered Cherry Day, we just might enjoy a box of cherries at the end of the walk!!
