Walk the Western End of Maggie Valley

Meet at Maggie Methodist, 4192 Soco Rd., Maggie Valley 28751, in the corner of the parking lot closest to Soco Rd., but furthest from the church building. We will meet at 2:00 p.m. There are no restrooms at the start point, so take care of any needs before you arrive.

The walk is pretty flat. Tennis shoes are fine; walking poles aren't needed. Dress appropriately for the weather. Bring lots of water and a protein snack. Dogs are welcome. Strollers are fine.

We will walk west on Soco Road to Fie Top, with one or two side excursions. We will cross Soco Road and then walk east on the opposite side of Soco Road as far as Town Hall. We will cross the road and head west again, finally returning to the Start Point.

Sights along the way include Mary Rathbone Rich Park, Tube World, and Joey's Pancake House.

This is a short, easy walk, about 3 miles, mostly on pavement. Hope to see you there!
