Guided Troll Walk at the NC Arboretum
Details
We will be joining the Asheville Amblers, Stryder, AARP, and perhaps some others for a 6 KM guided walk to see all 12 of the Troll statues at the Arboretum. This will not be the same route as the Meetup we will have at the Arboretum on February 14.
Meet for registration inside the Baker Visitor Center at 9:30 a.m. The walk is free (although the Amblers accept donations, $4 suggested). Restrooms are available at the start point. Step-off will be at 10:00 a.m.
Dress for the weather. Some may want walking poles. Sneakers should be fine, unless it has rained recently. Be sure to bring plenty of water and a protein snack.
Dogs on leash are welcome but are not allowed in buildings or the Bonsai Exhibit. Trail strollers should be ok.
The NC Arboretum does not have an admission fee, but they charge $20 per car parking fee (so pack as many people in your car as you can). We recommend for the driver to purchase the lowest level annual membership which includes free parking. (Of course, you may want a higher-level membership, your choice.) We walk at the Arboretum at least six times per year.
