Meet author and educator Alison Humphreys and discuss her book, "50 Hikes with Kids: Virginia & Maryland, with Delaware, West Virginia, and Washington DC." A homeschool parent and licensed psychotherapist, Alison emphasizes the importance of hands-on, child-led learning and unstructured time in nature and its benefits for mental health and education. Copies of her book will be available for purchase & signing after the event.

Join the Master Gardeners and Grow Wild Harford as they introduce the Pollinator Gardens Trail to raise awareness about the importance of pollinators in our local habitat.

This location is next to the library. You can park at the library and walk the path or park by the Grove at 3525 Conowingo Road.
- HCPL 2025 Literary Spelling BeeHarford County Equestrian Center, Bel Air, MD
It's back! Be a part of this annual Harford County tradition and join in the F-U-N at the 2025 HCPL Literary Spelling Bee at the Harford County Farm Fair! Register online through Tuesday, July 22, or in-person registration for all ages begins at 3:00 pm at the Main Pavilion. Spellers will participate in age groups (see below for times), but all are welcome to stay and cheer for others!
Ages up to Kindergarten: 4:00 pm
Grades 1-2: 4:10 pm
Grades 3-4: 4:45 pm
Grades 5-6: 5:30 pm
Grades 7-8: 6:00 pm
Grades 9-12: 6:30 pm

Enjoy a reading and craft featuring local author and teacher, Stephanie Guzman, featuring her latest book "The Adventures of Oliver the Clownfish: A Bit of Grit." All books in the series will be available for purchase and signing after the event.
