Hey everybody,

This Sunday, come along to explore the Koonyum Range, taking in a couple of amazing lookouts, a lake & a beautiful waterfall. This hike has great variety and is unique as it looks out over two completely different directions from the range - one all the way back towards Byron and the other over Wilson's Creek. Koonyum Range is the mountain range that backs onto Mullumbimby, so it will be a short drive from our meeting point to our first trail.

To start off, we will do a loop through the bush along a track that leads to a lake and then up towards a lookout back towards Byron. After this we will take a short drive out to another loop in which we reach the top of a waterfall with a spectacular view overlooking Upper Wilson's Creek and out towards Wanganui and Nightcap, where we will have lunch before looping back to the car and heading back to Mullum.

Total walking distance will be approximately 8km.

**IMPORTANT INFO:**

* Event restricted to 20 people.
* One +1 per person allowed: please be sure to add to your RSVP.
* If you RSVP then can't attend, please give a minimum of 48 hours notice so others don't miss out: Please read our full RSVP and cancellation policy below.
* This is classified as a Grade 3 walk: Fairly average but with one very steep uphill for about 5-10 minutes. Please make sure your fitness levels are appropriate.
* Please plenty of water as there will not be any chance to buy any once we leave.
* Donations are appreciated to help cover the cost of Meetup fees.

**RSVP and cancellation policy**
If you RSVP and then can’t attend an event, a minimum of 48 hours notice is required to cancel and remove yourself from the confirmed list. Once cancelling within 48 hours of the event, notification via a message and a legitimate reason is required (please note that weather forecast/rain is not considered an acceptable reason), otherwise this will result in a first warning and then if it happens a second time, it will result in your removal from the group.
The reasoning for this is that every event members on the waitlist would miss out on attending at the expense of others, so this is to make attendees accountable for their RSVPs and to be considerate of others wishing to join on the waitlist.
