Gravely Falls/Gordon Mtn loop; a Saunter.

We are the Sloth Hiking Group: “We will get there when we get there.” We dare to go where the ‘real’ hike groups don’t !!

Pat M will lead a hike to Gravely Falls/Gordon Mtn loop ; Up to 16 ppl are welcome to join us.
Hike Distance: 3.41 mi; 425 ft accum ascent
Pace: 1.5mph – because I’m an ol’ Codger.
Difficulty: Mostly established Trail. See Details Below for Gravely Falls area.
Drive time: ½ hr/16 mi 1-way
Apprx return time: 1:30p (=4.0 hrs)
Optional: We will lunch after at Cedar Mtn Café. (add 1 hr)
Carpool contributions appreciated. $2.00 suggested

We suggest open windows while carpooling. Only you know your own health status so judge accordingly if an event may endanger your health or the health of others.
Please bring an extra pair of shoes to avoid bringing your muddy shoes into the driver's car at the end of the hike.
Incessant prattlers will be assumed to be having an affair. My attempts to quiet the prattlers has failed. This has become a ‘social networking’ event.
THIS IS A DOG-PARTICIPANT HIKE. This event is NOT for those who are uncomfortable with the antics of fun-loving dogs. Well trained dogs (you don’t have to yell) can be 'off-leash'. Small (lap)dogs may carpool. Large dogs will drive themselves.

IF YOU HAVE AN ORANGE VEST; WEAR IT. HUNTING SEASON HAS ENDED, BUT…... ;-) THEY ARE INEXPENSIVE AT WALMART....
I will be carrying the ‘Ent-Ward’ that gives us permission to pass thru the forest.
Gravely Falls: The trail leads past a nice trail view of the falls. Look for the short and steep trail down to the base of the waterfall. Short approach is challenging with a short steep rock butt-slide to the bottom which is slippery rock slope.
There's also a nice 'S' shaped narrow cascade below Gravely Falls.
Listen for more noisy water down below. There are more sliding cascades down there and some interesting rock formations if you don't mind some off trail scrambling.
