What we’re about
Welcome to the Herts Women's Society Meetup Group! 🌟
We’re a community of women who love to connect, share experiences, and enjoy life together. From dining out and drinks to walks (often joined by a few friendly dogs), theatre trips, cinema nights, and live music events—there’s always something fun happening, not everything gets onto Meetup. We have a sub group brunch club that meet regularly once a month on a Saturday.
Our members range from age 30 and up, with many in their 40s and 50s, but every woman is truly welcome. Whether you're hoping to make new friends, explore new activities, or simply enjoy good company, we’d love for you to join us.
Most of our events take place in and around Hertford, but we’re always open to new adventures beyond. Come along and see what we’re all about!
### Group Guidelines
- Safety: Every member to have an identifiable photo.
- Fairness First: Please pay for what you personally order unless there's a prior agreement to split the bill. Please make sure the bill for the group is settled with the venue before leaving.
- RSVP Etiquette: If your plans change, update your RSVP promptly. This helps others on the waitlist get a chance to join.
- and if you're on the Waitlist, keep your RSVP status updated. Meetup may automatically move you into the event if a spot opens up.
Cancellations: Repeated last-minute cancellations (including same-day) or no-shows may result in removal from the group. - Kindness: We’re a welcoming and inclusive group where mutual respect is essential. Disrespectful or disruptive behaviour may lead to removal to ensure a safe and positive space for everyone.
I welcome reviews, however if you felt the event was worth 3 stars or less, I’d really appreciate a direct message or a note on the review explaining what didn’t quite hit the mark. Please do keep in mind that I run the group in my own time, free of charge a low rating may put someone off experiencing the group for themselves.
I'm happy for input while keeping the spirit of the group positive and constructive.

Christmas / Anniversary Dinner at Turkish Kitchen Hertford
Turkish kitchen, 15-17 Maidenhead street, Hertford, GBWE ARE ONE (and a bit) !!
Join as at Turkish Kitchen to celebrate a year of HWS combined with an early Christmas get together.
Whether you were there for our very first event a regular or you're new to the group, this is your chance to meet new and familiar members.
Please note, we already have 11 sign ups from a previous meetup which won't show here.
Dining details We’ll each pay for what we individually order (unless agreed to share). We kindly ask everyone to stay until the bill is settled and agreed with the restaurant - it's much appreciated!

To secure your spot, we kindly ask for a ÂŁ12 payment (I'll contact those who sign up with payment details).
- ÂŁ10 is a deposit and will be deducted from your bill on the night.
- ÂŁ2 goes towards festive bits.
Please note: the ÂŁ12 is non-refundable in case of cancellation.
